The Organization Itself as a Tool: Think about it ...
Your business (your life or your family) is a complex composition of parts to be sure, but it is the integrity of the interdependent relationship between those parts that when exercised in concert drives the enterprise toward the corporate objective.

Which ‘part’ do you suppose is of greatest value? None. It is an integrated whole. A piston or a camshaft in and of itself is pretty much a doorstop.
If you have ever experienced (heard?) a high performance engine calibrated and tuned to optimal performance at work, well it’s a thrill. And … it’s quite an engineering marvel.
A ‘crew’ is required to design, develop and put into production a high performance machine. The Chief Engineer has the CEO role of overseeing the entire operation. Then, after countless hours of highly skilled labor and oversight, the entire ‘venture’ can be won or lost in the pits. Your competition it seems is just as committed, capable and well funded.
To win, the entire organization is necessary and required to ‘Bring It’ and simply outperform. Looking to every aspect of the organization to deliver at peak efficiency. A pit crew is a whole Case Study in themselves when it comes to Linking Strategy to Execution. Ever watch these guys work together? Or not?
That organization, firing on all cylinders operating as a single entity, tuned and timed for optimal performance, really is quite extraordinary. ‘It’ (the organization) executes its strategy with all the other organizations on the track. The Crew Chief stays in constant communication with the driver, making adjustments as necessary, ready to take tactical advantage of the myriad of data coming to them from the vehicle … with which they can make informed decisions.

My mentor taught me that the entire organization … is a tool. A complex, integrated entity. Every element of it needs to be tuned and calibrated to operate at maximum efficiency … then intentionally, the CEO (as Crew Chief) provides necessary instruction as data is made available via corporate instrumentation.
Question: Have you considered your enterprise as a tool? A fully aligned, integrated .... high performance tool. If that sounds attractive, consider this:
Did You Know: Research indicates there is a 90% likelihood that your competition does not have a strategic plan, directly linked to execution. Chances are, your competition doesn't have the tool. That can be your single greatest competitive advantage … regardless of who else is on the track.
The finely tuned and calibrated enterprise is such a thrill to experience. It will cost you a coffee to find out how.
